Wilbey And Gussie Handbags
Created by British designers Brett Tyne and Lucy Lyons, the Wilber and Gussie handbag line debuted at London Fashion Week 2005 to rave reviews. The two women, who had been friends for 20 years prior to launching their handbag line, named the line after their pets. This definitely reflects the homey and sometimes vintage feel of the line, and their love for animal shows in their designs considering a few of the pieces have animal shaped cutouts on them.
The Wilber and Gussie handbag line currently includes four styles of clutches, called Charlie, Edith, Maggie and Herriet. Charlie is a basic envelope shaped clutch made of printed silk. Each clutch is fastened with a crystal brooch, and each clutch bodes a different print, whether it be a geometric print, polka dots or florals. The Edith clutch is similar with different dimensions, and more prints to choose from, as well as solids. The Maggie clutch is pod shaped frame bag with a large tassel and a jeweled fastening. This delicate bag comes in black and peach. Lastly, the Harriet is a more modern fold over clutch with an old fashioned fastener. This bag comes in lime green, white, black and pink faux croc.
Carrying a Wilber and Gussie handbag will certainly garner plenty of compliments from all your girlfriends.
